Results of my Scrapbooking Day with Friends

Well I finished a few more pages for Kierra's Wedding Album.  The black and red pages I did on Friday afternoon.

The Haunted Moon pages I did at my friend's home on Saturday.  About 4 or 5 of us get together once a month and scrap.  I really like how these two pages turned out, the black and silver look very sophisticated.

Then it was time to work on some family history pages.
Yours truly and my baby brother.

On my baby picture page I used one of my new framing templates from Kiwi Lane and punched the white with pink polka dots paper to thread my pink ribbon with white polka dots.
Eddie is eleven years young than I am.  He is a grown man with a son of his own but he will always be my baby brother.  There are two brothers between us. I always felt closer to Ed when he was young. He was too young to give me as much grief like my other two brothers. Don't you just love the plaid shirt with the bow tie?

I think I did a good job with the girl and boy themes.
Well it is time for bed!!  Have a great week!

See What I Have Been up to!

I hope you all are having a fun busy week out there!  I have.
I spoke to my daughter Kierra and asked if she wanted any more pages for her wedding album.  I told her I learned a new technique and wanted to make more pages.  She was happy with the idea and she has some pictures from the honeymoon she can print.  The pages are done, she just has to stick the pictures in the corner slots.

This is a two page spread.  I distressed that bright orange to tone it down.  If you click on the picture you can see a large version.

This is only a single page, I am running out of Halloween paper.

I have also done some more Yo-Yo blocks.  I now have 31 blocks complete.  Left size completed blocks.  Middle bottom, blocks with tacked down little yo-yos. Top tow center piles appliqued down center yo-yos.  Right side centers only tacked down.

Yo-yo update

Plus I finally added the two side inter borders on my husbands new quilt.  His old one is almost a rag it is so torn up. So I only have the outer borders to go.  He wants hi-loft in it.  So I won't be quilting it, just tying.

Well have fun! Happy stitching and scraping!

Wedding Album Series # 6

Happy Monday everyone!

Look at how happy the bride is!!  She was so nervous before the wedding, now she looks happy and relaxed.

Maybe this page should be before the first page?  I found that trying to sequence the pages was hard.

Outside the Wedding Chapel, with your name in lights.

Your name and the date alternated.

Same as the other picture just different background paper.  I really like the plastic keys I found to put on these pages with the keys.

Well I was looking to see how many more pages I have and after todays five pictures and I only have five more pictures of pages to edit and post. The end is in sight.

Wedding Album Series # 5

I don't know about you but my week sure was a busy one.  I have been able to do some fun things again, which makes me feel like I am back among the living.  I taught an EQ 7 class Beyond the Basics.  I only had two students but they were excited and learned lots and we had fun and I did something besides be at home or do errands, so it was worth it.  Today I am going to the scrapbook convention.  And tomorrow Mr. B and I will have a date for our anniversary which was in March but I was too sick to go out.

Wedding Album Series # 3

Well I had a very busy Friday and Saturday.  I took my foster kids to the Zoo, and we had a grand time and did a lot of walking and of course it was the first day we hit the 90s.  Too hot for me. I even did some sewing so I will post that later.

Back to the Wedding Album.

The happy couple walked in together on their first walk of their new life.

The fog machine adding atmosphere.

Kierra had her dad give her away.  Originally she didn't want to do this but I explained to her, that it is the only thing a Dad does and looks forward to doing for their daughter.  She was glad she did this for her Dad.

Just some pictures.

Well blogger is giving me fits today, I am having a hard time lining up my text with my pictures.   I think I made it!  Now to publish it falls apart again.

Wedding Album Series #1

WOW I can't believe I have not posted in over a month.  I have been very sick with bronchitis and maybe asthma.  I never had trouble with asthma before but there are times I cough so hard I wheeze and can't get my breath.  Very scary.  I am on my third round of steroids and I am still coughing.  I am so tired of it.  Anyway I will see a pulmonologist on Friday.
Today I just wanted to do something more, so this is why I am posting.
In October I started a wedding album for my daughter and her husband.  I presented the album to them at Christmas, not finished.  Well last Wednesday the 27th of March, I finally finished it and gave it to them when we went to dinner to celebrate her birthday.
I really enjoyed doing this project, I had a lot of fun.  She really likes it so I am so glad I did it for her.
I will do a series of post over a week of all the pages.  Just because I am such a show off!
You may have seen some of these pages before but this time it will be in sequence.

I found a fun font to use called Slasher Heavy.  I used it for any journaling or labeling I did that wasn't in my handwriting.

The happy couple made their
own invitations.

The night before the wedding the two families meet for dinner to start the celebrating.  We meet at Tao Asian Bistro.
